An excerpt of their report is below: Research Report: Our study tests the claim that women are more satisfied with their marriages than are men. Our sample consisted of 10 men and 13 women who responded to flyers we posted in a local church soliciting volunteers for our study. Each subject was asked to rate their marital satisfaction on a scale from one to ten, with one being extremely dissatisfied and ten being extremely satisfied. We found that the mean marital satisfaction Score for women was 5.2 with a standard deviation of 2 and the mean score for men was 4.9 with a standard deviation of 1.8. A hypothesis test for the difference in means yielded a Z-score of 3.8 and a p-value of .1190. We have proved in this study that women are more satisfied in their marriages than men. The probability that there is no difference between men and women in marital satisfaction is only .1190, so we feel extremely confident that our findings are accurate.
