This assignment will assess competency 6. Develop appropriate tools to find a new position in a specific field of interest.

Directions

In LP04.2 you wrote a cover letter for a job in your field you might apply for after graduation. Now you will continue by creating your most important self-marketing tool: your resume. You can visit the
NAU Career Services website
for help with writing a resume. If you need additional assistance, please contact a
Director of Career Development and Placement.

Write a resume: This should not be a generic or general resume for just any position. It needs to be tailored to the job you want. This shows the hiring manager that you are the right person for this position. Be sure to incorporate the key words that you identified in LP04.2. Highlight the key words by putting them in italics or bold (you wouldn't do this in an actual resume; this is just for this assignment).

Remember, when job hunting you are selling your talents and abilities to perform a particular function. Errors in your resume and/or cover letter may prevent you from even being considered for the position. Also, try to keep your resume to one page (definitely not more than two pages)
