Logs. The mother and son each could keep a log to record the unique qualitative circumstances surrounding aspects of their relationship, and to record quantitative dimensions of targets selected for intervention, such as intensity and frequency. These could be used to pinpoint and define targets, generate individualized hypotheses for intervention, and quantify change over time in each client’s targets. In addition, you could use a log in much the same way as a clinical record to monitor the delivery of your services and for the same purposes as the client log.
