You need to develop amanagement planSoftware developers collaborating at Large Technology Corporation.to present to the board. It should explain how you will lead the newly formed team. You must be able to show the board the recommendations and your reasoning.

You currently manage a team of four employees at LTC. The team members have similar demographics and professional experience.

After the merger, you will have six new team members from STC. Your new team members have diverse demographic makeup, varying levels of professional experience, and different work styles. STC employees operated with autonomy. They were responsible for their own work, rather than being held accountable to a manager. In addition, they were responsible for dividing up tasks amongthemselves. They could complete various tasks required at their company, allowing them to step into different roles as necessary.

At your company, all employees work at the LTC headquarters. At STC, three of your new team members worked remotely. They will continue to do so after the merger. LTC will need to consider new strategies for collaborating effectively with these remote employees.

Part One: Team Dynamics
Which characteristics of the individuals and team will impact group dynamics?
In general, and in the context of the team members who shall work together after merger under the manager, it can be noted that each team member has individual traits, characteristics, attitudes and skillsets. In terms of team / g

In this case, some of the individuals have used to remote working and have limited communication abilities, some are not open to collaborative work, some being aggressive / confrontational, and some have attributes like longer experience, better problem-solving skillsets. All of these varied and different set of characteristics have different form of impacts over the group dynamics (Ahmed, 2018; Slagter & Wilderom, 2018; Baird et al., 2020; Hoch & Dulebohn, 2017).
How will these characteristics positively and negatively impact the group’s behavior and performance?
In essence, characteristics like ineffective / opaque communication, lack of initiative to collaborate, confrontational / lack of trust, etc. represent attitudes, behaviors and characteristics represent factors that illustrate lack of interest, irreverence and even fear in working as a group / team leading to confusion, conflicts, and inefficiency. All of these outcomes lead to impacts on team effectiveness, productivity and overall performance. In contrast, characteristics like being proactive / interested to collaborate, experienced workers who are comfortable in teams, open / transparent communication, and respect / trust shall lead to lead to thriving, open, efficient, effective and result oriented team / group dynamics, and therein leading to superior performance and increase in productivity (Ahmed, 2018; Slagter & Wilderom, 2018; Baird et al., 2020; Hoch & Dulebohn, 2017).
