4.1 Indigenous tourism in Australia: Time for a reality check.
The authors of this article are Ruhanen, Whitford and McLennan. They have conducted a brief survey on this article and the tourism context in Australia. After that this article has gotten so much credibility.
In the abstract the idea of sustainable tourism is generally described as the positive impact that the tourists make on the environment by the tourists. The idea of sustainable tourism is generally having a positive impact on the environment on going or visiting different places as a tourist. This is an age of globalisation where the world is not concentrated in a small boundaries or concentration. The world is getting free access to its every part.
The introduction of this article deals with the fact that the people are migrating to different places to experience new knowledge and adopt the various cultures. The tourism sectors are flourishing very much because of this fact. Now, it is the duty of the tourist to maintain a healthy and positive impact on wherever they go. The positive impact on the environment made by the tourists is called sustainable tourism. Tourism affects the environment of the place very much so the concept of the sustainable tourism does not only refer to the tourists as an individual but also largely referred to the hospitality sectors (Edgell, 2016). It is the duty of the tourism sectors as well to keep the positive impact on the environment through their managerial activities within and outside the organisation. This concept is called as sustainable development.

The literature review states that it is very important for the tourism sectors to follow the concept of sustainable development. The hospitality sectors are responsible for welcoming the various cultural forms in their countries so they have to maintain a positive impact on the environment so that their culture is no destroyed or the tourist’s culture and the sentiments are not hampered in either way. The sustainable tourism involves in the transportation, food, accommodation and other facilities that are being offered to the tourist (Boley, McGehee & Hammett, 2017).The tourism sectors should look into these matters more to emphasize on the concept of sustainable development in respect to the tourism sectors.
As a result of this article it can be found that the sustainable tourism has three dimensions to it. The three dimensions elaborately define the actual scopes of the sustainable tourism. The three dimensions are environmental, economical and social. The result also shows the different approaches of sustainable development. They are:
