Since; early humans were not much concerned about the management of waste hen

they were used to leave their garbage here and there, but with the development of communities,
people initiated to keep such waste in chosen dumping areas called as; open dumps. Open dumps
may also be defined as; the abandoned stacks of household garbage, appliances, used tires, and
devastation debris for instance, pipes and asbestos etc that are able to affect health of humans,
flora and fauna, and the surroundings in an adverse manner (Reif et al., 1993).
Environmental Problems
In context of environment following threats can be posed by open dumps:
 Fire and explosion
 Release of poisonous gases
 Contamination of water- bodies
 Pollution of soil
 Devastation of natural habitats and so on (Roht et al., 1985).
Besides, open dumps might switch land from more creative applications, and can
discourage the value of nearby land as well.
Early Landfill
In several regions of world, open dumps have been substituted by early/sanitary landfills
where garbage is covered up regularly with numerous inches of soil.
