critical summary

a. What type(s) of argument are used? Cause/Effect, Deductive/Inductive reasoning?

c. How are the arguments supported? Research results? informed opinions of others? citing authority? relying on author’s credibility/reputation?

The length of the critical summary will depend on the length of the original scholarly article. Usually a critical summary of a scholarly journal article should be
no longer than ¼ the length of the original. As a rough guide, you should plan on a finished submission of somewhere between 1,000 and 1,500 words (4-6 double-spaced, word processed pages).
I would recommend that you include each of the seven categories of summarized evidence and use headings for each section.
I will grade your submission on language/grammar accuracy, specific details of the scholarly article, logical presentation of material, and a persuasive critique of the article using good evidence.
