(a)A learning experience for children who have specific needs

(b)An age-appropriate learning experience for a selected age group (e.g. infants, toddlers etc.)

(c)A learning experience using a technological device or method.

Children should be able to successfully construct the house. They should also be able to identify the different parts of the house.

    Experience (Briefly describe the experience)
Children will be required to create a house using house building blocks. The house will contain of various parts including, ceiling, walls, windows, doors, stairs. The skills children will focus on will include fine motor skills, cognitive skills and social skills.

(How did you gather child/ren to the experience? How did you smoothly transition the child/ren to the next experience/routine at the conclusion?)
I will call children to attention by clapping my hands and drawing their attention. The activity will be held first before other learning experiences, so I will set up all the materials beforehand on their tables. This will be a group activity so children will learn teamwork and social skills as well. Children will be transitioned to another activity once they are done building by placing their houses in a corner where they can see their creation.
    Description of experience Delivery:
    Teaching Strategies/scaffolding
(List/describe how you implemented the experience with the child/ren from beginning to end. How was it set up? What were the child/ren be required to do?)
Children are presented with parts of the house building blocks. They are required to build the house. In the meanwhile they are also required to identify the parts of the house. We will have light music in the background, to keep the mood light and entertaining.
(What role did you play in the experience? How did you facilitate child/ren’s engagement, learning and development? What did you say? What did you do? How did you use the provisions you provided?
I will play the role of a facilitator. I will assist children who are unable to construct the house. In the process of making the house, I will provide children with the information regarding which part of the house they are making. This will help them associate the parts names and the parts better. Joining children in this fun activity will help them remember the names of the parts of the houses and will also help develop their fine motor skills as they coordinate to construct the house.
    Critical reflection:
(Why did you decide to implement this learning experience for the selected children? Please consider your choice of resources and why you included them in your learning experience? How did this learning experience benefit children's learning and development?)
I decided to implement this learning experience for children with special needs like autism because it helps them get involved with others. This will help them learn social skills like cooperation, turn taking and sharing, an area that children with autism require special attention it. It will also help them get confidence to accomplish things on their own without adult involvement. In addition to all this, block building activities help children improve coordination and cognitive skills. Use of calming music and naming the various parts will help in developing their cognition as well. The learning experience will benefit children in an overall manner (Iannaccone, Savarese, & Manzi, 2018).
Future Planning: (What next? How will you extend, revisit or build upon this experience, future teacher strategies, further development?)
For the future, I would like to help children learn to identify the parts of the house without assistance. For this I...
