Rationale
    In the context of developing positive sustainable practice and knowledge in children, it is important to assist them through understanding the significance of recycling products and how it helps in developing good environmental practices. These activities or tendencies are most likely to be promoted in them through activities of crafts and arts in class. At times, children observe many objects at homes which are not considered as usable but they can be recycled, if little amount of craftwork is applied to them. Cardboards are one of such things that young learners can use to understand the importance of recycling and how it is a good or positive habit to participate in structuring environmental norms linked to sustainability.
Steps
    This activity will require application of simple steps. The selected children (five will be chosen and the rest of the class will contribute by assisting and watching the activity) will be given cardboard pieces and they will be asked o use the open space of the class to use these cardboards for cutting purposes. They will also be given the other required resources such as glue, marker and scissors. The educator will then demonstrate the picture of a recycle bin to them and they will be asked to make one as shown in the picture.
