    Glass ceiling refers to an unacknowledged barrier within organisations. It is termed as a metaphor, which classifies the invisible barrier prevailing against some of the demographic sections. The Glass Ceiling concept is generally noticed as a barrier on women and the minorities section, who suffers due to the racial and gender discrimination. It is most often noticed that women are not categorised in the upper level hierarchy of the organizations though they deserve that certain position.
