Lead (11) sulphide, PbS , can be converted to lead metal in two reaction steps
Step 1: 2PbS(s)+ 3O2(g)> 2PbO(s)+ 2 SO2(g) Yield 65%
Step 2: 2PbO(s)+C(s)> Pb(s)+ CO(g) Yiled 75%
2g Pb is collected and found to be 95% pure (by mass) as it is contaminated with carbon
1.What mass of pure PbS was used , given that excess amounts of both oxygen and carbon are added
