Last week I lectured on the historical background on the Castas and how the conquerors brought with them the ideology "of purity of blood." This week we review "Colonial Policy and Slavery by Diaz Polanco" and read "The Discourse of Concealment and 1992" by Sam Colop. For this week's discussion respond to the following:

1. Describe one thing you learned or found interesting about the "discourse of colonial encounter that defends colonialism."


2. Make sure this is connected to our course content for Week 1 and 2. Make specific references to both articles on the e.book.
