Multinational vs. Multicultural
Many terms are used to describe global organizations. That is because there are many forms of global organizations and many variations including size, function, complexity, number of foreign locations, cultural backgrounds of employees, etc. Two common terms are multinational organization and multicultural organization.
How does a multinational organization differ from a multicultural organization? Provide at least one specific example for each of the two terms. Is it necessary for us to make such distinctions when defining trends and best practices within global companies? Why or why not?
