Part A – Descriptive questions
Ans1. One of the most important aspect is to have the skills of delegations. For leaders, there are for principles that can help leaders or managers to implement the delegation. There are principles of delegation as explained below
· Principle 1- Implementing the principle of results that is desired - It recommends every people manager before delegating the powers to subordinate to clearly explain the goals. The objective and goals need to be defined properly and deadline needs to be communicated to the team appropriately.
· Principle 2- Principle of Responsibility and Authority - As per this principle, people need to strike a balance between the responsibility and authority. These are two essential aspects that goes hand in hand. Essentially, this means if the subordinate is given the responsibility to perform the work, they need to be given enough authority to carry out few decisions to execute the task effectively.
· Principle 3 - Concept of Absolutely Responsibility - According to this principle, authority can be delegated but responsibility can’t be delegated by leaders to team members. This makes the responsibility completely fixed.
· Principle 4 - Authority Level - This implies that managers require to exercise the authority within the framework provided. People are required to consult their senior or the matters which offers the authority on essential decision.
In context of nursing, I have experienced those seniors and leader execute the principle of Parity of Responsibility and Authority. When I am working on certain projects and fully responsible for its execution and implementation. I require certain level of authority to deliver the output successfully

Ans2. The 4 principles of allocation in healthcare and nursing or perhaps in any business organization are explained below
· Priority - Comprehending the criticality and priority of the task. The task which are of high priority requires to be allocated immediately so that work is completed at the earliest.
· Knowledge and Skills - Evaluate the essential knowledge and skills before allocating the task. It is very important to assess the team member to whom the work is allocated is qualified enough to deliver.
· Availability - The next important principle for allocating the work is to know the availability of the person. Who is available for the work and who has enough band-with to pick it up.
· Development - One of the very important principle is to constantly groom the person to upskill their knowledge. Offering them projects where they can groom themselves to pick up the new projects.

Ans 3. Goal setting with my team is extremely important in order to attain the desired targets because it helps all the members comprehend the overall mission of the project, the deadline association as well as comprehending the consequence if the required deadline is not followed.
· The key principle of goal setting is clarity, once needs to have well-defined and clear goals.
· Second important principle is that goals need to have a sense of challenge that can help a person stretch their limit.
· Third principle is to have a strong sense of commitment towards working on the goals and achieving them.
· Fourth essential principle is Feedback - It is very important to reflect on the progress that can help one to track the work, to be motivated and ensure that overall objective is relevant.

Ans 4. SMART goals form a strong foundation for goal settings. The acronyms stand for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely. Hence, a goal is SMART if it incorporates all the important criteria’s that can help one to focus on the efforts and enhance the chance of attaining the goal.
Examples I would like to explain in nursing that incorporate SMART goals are first goal is to collaborate with surgeons and doctors to deliver better patient experience. Second goal is to constantly upgrade and upskill the knowledge that can help one to perform better.

Ans 5. The behavior of different team members or group members defines the group dynamics. It urges to have interactions between different group members and collaborate to deliver the required task assigned. Essential principles of group dynamics that can help in comprehending the level of interactions and corresponding output of work is Principle of Belongingness as well Principe of Conformity.
In a group it is useful to develop an environment that can facilitate easy exchange of ideas such that members of the group have the feeling of belongingness. Second important principle is with respect to conformity. It requires consistent efforts that are made to remove the specific dimensions in the groups. Members are perhaps more likely to conform to the norms so made in the group. In nursing context, in order to develop high-performing team it is essential to create an atmosphere where team members wants to share their knowledge with the group. It is imperative to create a strong sense of belonginess and collaboration for seamless flow of work.
