PROJ6002 – Project Planning and Budgeting Supplementary Assessment Term 2-2022 Prepare appropriate schedule and cost management plans for the given project below. Table 1: Research and Development Project The above activities are shown in a weekly format and need to be converted to a daily basis. In this case study, a week consists of 5 working days and 8 hours per day. The project will not be implemented on weekends. Your plans must follow the additional requirements provided within this instruction as below: 1.0 Time Management Planning & Project Schedule 1.1 Develop sub-activities for any main activities with the duration of 5 days and greater. Assign activity dependencies to all new sub-activities (show at least 2 types of activity dependencies/ main activity required) without changing the total duration of the main activities. Additionally, milestones must be defined and incorporated for all main activities with the duration of 5 days and greater. The newly assigned sub-activities, activity dependencies and milestones must be clearly presented in your project schedules. 1.2 Construct and present a correct project schedule for Scenario-1 using project activities given in Table 1. 1.3 Conduct a critical path analysis and carefully apply the 3-point estimate technique on identified critical activities to develop an estimated project schedule. It is assumed that all activities will be 35% shorter than the presented schedule if we fast track the orientation through crashing. On the other hand, without appropriate risk management planning, the durations of critical activities extend by 60%. Present a changed schedule (Scenario-2) incorporating a 3-point analysis to all critical activities with these new timings. Effectively perform a final, technical schedule analysis using the results obtained from project scheduling conducted in the previous stages. Critically compare these two scenarios and carefully discuss the impact of schedule changes. Appropriately identify two schedule control techniques or tools and carefully discuss how they can assist the schedule management of this project. PROJ6002 – Project
