Students must choose any aspect in their personal life that they wish to change. Examples would include: • Managing time effectively • Improving oral or written communication skills • Improving conflict resolution and negotiation skills • Improving my interview skills • Any other aspect that you wish to improve in your personal life In the learning contract you must include the following details: 1. Topic: a. Information must include the topic you wish to choose to improve. For example, it could be communication. 2. What is the objective of my task? Why do I wish would improve the chosen task? a. In this section you must provide reasons on why you wish to improve the chosen task. Examples would include I wish to improve my oral communication skills to present effectively to my audience. 3. Resources a. In this section, you must include information on the related resources that you will need to improve the task. b. For example, it will include books, videos, journal, good friends to help you improve your task 4. Strategy a. This must include strategies or plan of action to learn about the chosen topic? You need to list the steps that you wish to follow to achieve your objective. 5. Outcome Evaluation a. In this section you need to explain the criteria you will use to measure when you have achieved your goal successfully. Part B-Reflective Essay Marks: 15 Word limit: 1500 words Upon completion of the learning contract, in this section, you are supposed to complete 1500-word essay. The essay must link to the learning contract. In this essay you must reflect on your journey in completing the learning contract. This will include information on what challenges you faced in improving yourself on the chosen task. Here you must use the Action research cycle which will be taught in Week 3. ASSESSMENT SUBMISSION: This assignment should be submitted online in Moodle. The Learning Contract and the Reflective Essay must be submitted on separate links provided in the Moodle. The assignment MUST be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word format. Other formats may not be readable by markers. Please be aware that any assessments submitted in other formats will be considered LATE and will lose marks until it is presented in Word.
