Journal Paper (1 ½ - 2 pages (no more)/double spaced/ size 12 /Times New Roman font/Create a title page)

The increase of MTA public transportation fares often seems to be an argument or a point of contention in New York City. Read 4-5
New York Times
newspaper articles to clearly comprehend two(2) viewpoints surrounding this argument.

Write a short journal paper to fairly present both sides of the argument. Explain an opposing side of the issue as clearly and fairly, as possible. Then point out its limitation with strong reasoning. In a separate paragraph, state your side of the issue and persuade your readers that your understanding of the issue is stronger and more reasonable than the articles’ viewpoints. Be sure to quote or paraphrase ideas correctly.

Create a Work-cited page to list the newspaper articles you read. See page 481 / #20 to list your source according MLA. See bottom right on page for color key. Also, go to page 492 to see a completed Works-Cited page. Pay attention to indentation, commas, and spacing.

The Authority's existing resources were employed to enact legislation and improve the service. There is a long list of priorities, from the enhancement of the bus network to the construction of more lifts on the underground. Subway and bus operators can eventually tap on an on-line reader to enter and retire the MetroCard by taping on a bankcard or smartphone. It could be threatened from a large increase in prices by laying off workers.
Although it approves the congestion pricing, it does not provide all the resources the authority needs to expand the subway, bus and shuttle rail network. Gambling has deepened the sense of uncertainty in the Metropolitan Authority, casting doubt on the future of the management of the company, and leaving riders uncertain about what will take place after years of decline with fares and expected renewals. It appears that the only thing passengers can do at the moment is to pay.
