Each answer must use critical thinking about something specific within the chapter. Each answer should be a minimum of ONE PARAGRAPH, with a minimum of FIVE SENTENCES. Must use proper grammar and sentence. 1.) Identify two aspects of life in the U.S which would be considered puristic crime control and explain why they fit this mode? Murderers would be considered in crime control. To stop the killing rate due to a person out there just killing people, the police would have to take major actions in taking them down. Major Drug dealers would be considered crime control. This would be an example of the police involving tape wiring or setting up stings to stop the illegal drugs from being sold and take down the person handling it. 2.) Identify two aspects of life in the U.S which would be considered puristic due process and explain why they fit this mode? -Being accused of rape would be due process because the goal is to protect the innocence. Being accused of murder is due process, when you know dang well you didn’t do it but your guilty until proven innocent in this case. 3.) To understand crime statitsics, one should be able to compare and contrast each. 1st paragraph - Compare and contrast UCR vs. NIBERS (Identify three differences between each and explain the advantage and disadvantage of each.) Differences - 2nd - Examine the self-reporting surveys. (Explain how they are conducted, what they can provide, and what should be the critical understanding of how the data could be accurate and how it can be inaccurate.) 4.) Create a memory reminder for the burdens of proof (Mere Suspicion, Reasonable Suspicion, Probable Cause, Preponderance of the Evidence, and Beyond a Reasonable Doubt (Please know, you will need to know the definition and when it is used in the CJ system. Example: Reasonable Suspicion is needed for a stop or a frisk.). 5.) Create a memory reminder for all protections in the 4, 5, 6, 8, and 14 amendments.

3.) To understand crime statitsics, one should be able to compare and contrast each.
