A planning system is the process and procedure in place for planning of cities and regions, system for enforcement, and institutional settings governing the planning process. It is sufficient to base the essay on a planning system as it is generally followed in English speaking countries, for example UK, North America, Australia. Choose either United States or UK or Australia as the focus of the assignment. You are required to elaborate: 1. Nature, content and emphasis of planning and plans  2. How planning of cities and regions is dealt with under the general framework of planning  3. Planning institutions and their role 4. Examples of success and failure   Assessment will be based on: 1. Strategic plan: Enduring planning is required for Western Australia by completely integrating economic, environmental, social, and infrastructure requirements. In terms of sport and leisure, it is the most critical area because it has a potential to acquire land or resources to meet future growth requirements (Buxton and Goodman, 2014).
Legal planning: Ensure that the process of effective approval of land use, urban development and land supply processes is efficiently managed.
