Overview




ITSM is one of the key functionalities for organizations and allows organizations to achieve higher customer satisfaction, reduce delivery time, and provide service support as per customer requirement. In this assignment, students need to explore various aspects of ITSM in an organisation or a company that provides IT servicesand explain how ITSM can enhance business proposition. Examples could be Department of Education and Training, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Jobs, Amazon, and HP.




The aim of this assignment is to




· Engage students with ITECH7400 material from Weeks 1 to 8;


· Encourage students to conduct independent investigation into related topics from books, the Internet, and through practical investigation.


· Understand what service management means and how it is applied in practice;


· Evaluatea practical case with respect to service management best practices;


· Understand how the services create business value in a practical case;


· Understand how the service management could be developed and enhanced in practice; and


· Plan and implement service management improvements in practice.


Expectations and Timelines




It is expected that students willform groups of 2 to 3 members by the second week of the semester. Only in exceptional cases will groups of a different size be allowed. Each group shouldprepare a report that contains the key topics of Weeks 1 to 8. The ITSM report should not exceed fifteen (15) A4 sides of paper.




Students are required to prepare a presentation for their ITSM assignment. The presentations will happen during the scheduled tutorial session of Week 8. The presentation should contain 10 slidesand it should not exceed more than 10 minutes.

Assessment Details





All work submitted must be authored by the student submitting the work or where material from other sources is included it must be referenced using APA referencing.






Students found to have plagiarised will be dealt with according to university regulations.


Submission


Students should submit a single word or pdf file including their PowerPoint presentation slides. The submission link is in the ‘Assessment Information’ folder.




By the start of Week 8, all students should have completed their ITSM assignment.




The report and presentation slides must be uploaded by the scheduled tutorial session of Week 8.

IT or Information Technology also provides help to the organizations in developing security procedures and data security methods. Like any process, ITSM also aims to deliver complete customer satisfaction to the consumer of the products or services. The next aspect of IT services used by the organizations is “ITIL” or “Information Technology Infrastructure Library”. The services related to IT various services and deliveries comes under ITIL. The primary base for the ITSM in an organization is to provides the organization the innovative structure that add to the organizational portfolio and provide the IT services and management. The given paper discusses the ITSM of the salesforce that is an important aspect for an organization and developing by using the ITSM (B. and D., 2018).
Ethical philosophies required for ITSM
Each association that keeps up good practices is profited from multiple points of view that. A genuine name and ethical moral good practices will encourage the association to attract higher aptitudes and applicants that may curtail the estimation of the company revenue. It could encourage the team once they can't focus on their work. The ethical ways or the social and cultural aspects can help the profitability and may propose inspiration to the team and in this manner the directors also. Just it might be practised if the association has the ethical conduct. There are a few ways using which the ethical practices might be presented inside the IT working environments (Bilgin and Yılmaz, 2017).
The main challenge would be developing a few morals ways by the organizational leaders that should be trailed by the team. While staff hiring process, the selection committee should check the ethical conduct of the applicants and should choose the best possible applicants. It is the leader’s duty to make the staff understand the department’s need for ethical conduct if any issue if risen. At the starting phase the company restricted itself to the selling of books only but today the company is dealing in the sale of many products like electronics, clothing, accessories, foot wear etc. The company has approx. 39.5% of the market share on the Indian e-commerce market, in the year 2018 Walmart, U.S. retail chain has acquired 77% of Flipkart controlling stake for 22 billion dollars. The company has a neck to neck competition with Amazon, Myntra, Jabong. The Information Technology Service Management is used by the company to better focus the customers and provide the products with different services. The company provides a variety of products and the customers can pay for the products as per their convenience like Cash on delivery, Phone Pay system, Debit and Credit card payments etc. The company gives additional offers to its loyal and regular customers like the registered customers need not to fill in their information again and again, the company’s software manage to refill their information as soon as they log in. Not only this but the once the customers shows their interest in a particular product, the software showcases the same kind of products to make the purchase of the customer’s more enriched. The software maintenance is so good that the customers get a choice of wish list and cart box also.
