INTD 2360 ASSIGNMENT 1 BRITISH COLUMBIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY School of Construction and the Environment Certificate in Interior Design Fundamentals ( 1st year) ASSIGNMENT 2: CONSTRUCTION PLAN INTD 2360 RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS: Course Value 15% OBJECTIVES • To create a construction plan for the residential unit. • To provide information required to implement the interior construction for built environment which includes partitions, doors, and plumbing • To develop working drawings on AutoCAD to reflect all construction aspects correctly with symbols, legends, schedules, and general notes. DELIVERABLES Preliminary Draft 01: Wall legend and Dimension (for in class critique) o Hand sketches only. Can use tracing paper over a printed floor plan o Identify all partition types with the appropriate wall hatches o Plan dimension layout. Dimension all necessary components o Plumbing Fixtures Selection (Tubs and shower only) Preliminary Draft 02: Door Schedule and door elevations (for in class critique) o Use the provided cut sheet as reference, identify the different type of doors in the plan with the appropriate symbols o Sketch the elevation of the door and door frame with dimensions. Hand sketches only. o Preliminary draft of door schedule (can be drafted in CAD file) Final Drawing: o Reproduce all information on the drawing into an AutoCAD drawing o Two sheets of drawings: 1. Construction Plan: Wall legend & Plumbing Specification 2.
