It’s really interesting when new technologies have been adopted by social scientists to help them collect and analyze data. For example, there are few adolescents who don’t have cell phones, and the capabilities of these cell phones are no longer limited to sending and receiving calls; cell phones are, in and of themselves, small computers that have GPS and multimedia capabilities. We’ll discuss technology and the research process later in Exploring Research, but for now, what other new types of technology can you think of that might play a role in completing research?
