It is often observed that despite the qualities such as determination, toughness and vision though important for a leader is not sufficient, there are qualities involved with emotional intelligence, such as self awareness, self regulation, empathy, social skill and motivation are also necessary ("What Makes a Leader?", 2004). According to Goleman, there is a positive interrelationship between emotional intelligence and successful business results. The transformational theory goes past the more conventional style of value-based leadership (which concentrates on supervision, association and performance of the group) and underlines that individuals work all the more efficiently that they have a feeling of mission. The transformational theory obliges leaders to impart their vision in a way that is significant, energizing, and makes solidarity and aggregate reason; the supervisor who is dedicated, has vision, and can engage others can be described as a transformational leader.Being a healthcare executive, it is necessary to deal with customers at a regular basis with respect to addressing their claims and needs, and involves working  in teams, for compilation and assessment of customer data. There has been many a times when my team members and I have had a dispute in matters of compilation and assessment of data. This healthcare manager has put an end to this by distributing the work in such a way, that everybody has a share of both compilation as well as assessment. This ensures that no one blames the other for the lack of expertise in the task and hence the dispute is minimized. I believe this style is very effective because it ensures the participation of every team member and enhances the functionality of the team as a whole. It also focuses on the individual as well as the collaborative benefit of all the team members. This style of leadership brings out the best in a leader, and creates a benchmark for all the team members, with respect to an ideal leader. Although, I think that the approach would be more effective if the individual person would be assigned a specific task according to one’s specialization (Hutchinson & Jackson 2013).
