Abstract
In this paper we will discuss about the opportunities and the challenges which are present in the development and use of cloud based mobile learning. It provides the brief definition about mobile learning, related technologies common devices and the components. It has brief description about the characteristics of social media, cloud computing and big data as per their requirement in integration with the mobile learning and the transformation into the cloud-based environment. In this paper we can have the initial so that it will be easier to organise and manage the mobile learning along wit
h cloud computing. The mobile cloud computing is known for holding the new area of computing in which cloud users are able to get attracted two words multiple services over the Internet. The mobile cloud computing is flexible, cost effective and qualitative delivery platform which can provide different services to the users who are using mobile cloud with the help of Internet. There are many advantages off this delivery platform, but it also has different issues as mentioned in different studies performed by researchers. The issues are related with energy efficiency, secured environment, quality of service aware and user satisfied applications. In this paper it has reviews from different solutions proposed for MCC.
Introduction
The mobile platform has become a very dominant platform for having interaction and communication. It is easily adopted by the different organizations as their best practice. The capabilities of the devices like smartphones and tablet are growing exponentially on the regular basis. The tablets are becoming virtual classroom for the students which can allow them too easily manage the digital atmosphere with the different aspects of their professional and educational life. The new devices are able to transform education and the businesses with the help of ICT.
This increase can be characterised with the help of increasing the volume of tablets, constant use of these devices, video content, domination of the mobile platforms, consumerization and gamification. The games are fastest growing application over the mobile devices. The employees also expect that customer experience which they have at home will be similar at their work area. 30% of the mobile phone users are under the age of 34 are using their phone constantly. The social network sites are also delivering more of video content, and it is 64% of their whole traffic.
The learning can be related with modifying or acquiring new knowledge, behaviour, values, skills or the preferences. it also involves combination of multiple types of the information. The learning can be the process instead of declaring it as the collection of procedural or factual knowledge. Research has also proved the importance of having mobile learning. There are many facts which support the tendency of shifting learning content over the mobile learning. The mobile learning can have different meanings on the basis of different communities in which it is used. It is related with the distance education and eLearning, but it is different from them as it has the major focus on learning various contexts and learning on mobile devices.
One of the most common definition for mobile learning is that it is any type of learning which takes place when the learner is not present at any redetermine or fixed location or the learning is taking place when the learner is able to take the advantage of learning opportunities which are offered by the mobile technology. The mobile learning is used to decrease the limitation present on the learning location with the mobility of some common portable devices. The mobile learning also has the portable devices and some related technologies like notebooks, mobile phones, tablets, handheld computers, ultra-books, netbooks or MP 3 players. Currently there is a new trend introduced in mobile learning which has added the mobility of instructor and it also has creation of the learning materials like on the spot which are used in the smart phones with the help of special software. We can use the mobile tools to create learning materials and it became the most important part of this informal learning process. The mobile learning is very convenient for the people because it is possible from anywhere in the virtual environment. It is known for providing the hi collaboration and instantaneous sharing of documents with everyone who is using same content and it has resulted in the reception of instant feedback. It is also known as the strong portability to replace traditional textbooks.
The mobile learning has grown from the basic minor research interest in 2 the new significant projects in museums, schools or the workplaces around the world in the recent years. It has been seen with different perspectives at the national level, differences between the industry, Academy and pretty this school, learning sectors and higher education. As per the current area of the growth for mobile learning it has testing, just in time learning, public surveys, contextual learning, location-based learning, mobile educational gaming, mobile contest, mobile storage and Mobile voting.
Literature Review
    There is a lot of technologies which are used for communication and collecting information like cloud computing, big data and social media and the widespread increase of portable computers and the Internet capable devices are making it possible to focus on mobile learning with the help of mobile devices as it will allow the learners to move around in the classroom or learn from different location as per the available option for the user.
There are few basic terms about which we will discuss in this section to understand it in detail.
A. Social Networking Services
Social media, social networking services and social software are few terms which are often used nowadays, and it is the Internet interaction between different users. The social networking service can be defined as the service, site or platform which has the major focus on providing the facility to build social relation or the social network among the people who are sharing common activities, real life connections, interest or the backgrounds. The social network service has the representation of each user with the help of their profile, social links or different types of the services.
Most of the social network services are using web platform and they are known for providing means for the users so that they can interact over the internet like instant messaging or email. The online community services can also be considered as social network service but in the broader sense the social network service is used for individual centred service and the online community services are used as group center service. The social networking sites allow different users to share their activities, interest, ideas and events within the network. There are many sites which are supporting existing networks but also help people to connect on the basis of their shared activities, political views or interest. Social network service generally depends on the usage of communication and information tools for blogging, video sharing, photo sharing or mobile connectivity.
The social software town is used for the software system which can be used by the people for having group communication or the collaboration and hence it allows to have foster building and managing social networks or publishing the information. Discussion groups, blogs, music streams, picture sharing or rating features are few examples of social software. The social network services are used for emulating the social networks in the virtual environment. Each member will be encouraged for expanding they are current network and in white other people to join and connect with other people.
The links are created wait the existing users of platform and they will be added to the network so that it can be controlled. Along with these functions it can also offer newsgroups around one or more set of the topics which is generally managed by the members of community, calendar, personal blog, picture sharing functionality, classifieds or the chat. The social media can be defined as platform for creating content and distributing it. It has the ability of creating, posting and sharing which is the major component of social network service.
The social media has already crossed the workhorse of current enterprise which is the email. Now the world is using social media and other related media-based services to connect with the people, communicate and collaborate and this usage is increasing exponentially. The social function can be the most common example of how the consumerization is driving ICT practices. It also includes the personal activities in which people are able to share links, recommendations and comments with their friends. They are able to get different benefits which allow them to communicate and collaborate with the extended network of customers, partners, employees easily across the external and internal social networks.
