Introduction
The United States – Mexi
co border stretches 2000 miles from Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean contact with the states like California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Nearly 700 miles of corrosive sharp wire, chain link, tangled fence has been plumb along in the border of U.S - Mexico border (Pinheiro). The U.S borders also have thousands of below the surface sensors, cameras as well as drones and airplanes to watch the boundary.
The History of the US-Mexican Border
The U.S – Mexico war started in the year 1844, when U.S. President Named as James K. Polk acquired the White House to spread from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Relationship between U.S and Mexico became worsen when United States subjoined Texas in 1845 (Shetty). When Mexico denied an American offer to buy New Mexico and California for $30 million, Polk sent 4,000 troops into the land north of the Rio Grande and south of the Nueces River claimed by both countries (Isacson et al.).
Then Mexico army component mounted on horseback attacked in the disputed territory of United States, many American soldiers were dead and wounded and U.S Mexico war declared. After many bloody battles, United States and Mexico formally under the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo agreed to sell one third of the territory that includes Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming and Kansas. The U.S – Mexico border is all safe it is safe as any other place in the world with all security gears but this border lost all humanitarian cost and basic human rights (Androff and Tavassoli).
Reason for People Crossing It
The families were travel for weeks to reach the U.S border, when they finally turn up at the border. Border guard say that it is closed and many of them do not know about the separating policy. Because they were travelling for weeks, they try to cross the border illegally. It is difficult because of security reasons and therefore, alternatively, they might also seek asylum help. The trek of the U.S southern border can cause emotional worries, harassment or death. People living in debilitating poverty; violence and fear for their lives (BBC News). Some of them are facing death threats from gangs and drug cartel living a miserable life. The other way that only works is that if you have money and manages to prove that you are a tourist and get a tourist visa. However, It is not an easy thing achieve. People in asylum literally starved to death they starved for days and months.
Gangs kill families and rape the children and women; they do not seek any medical treatment, sex trafficked to south and Central American country, rest of the people see their children grow in malnourished, uneducated and hopeless (Vogt). There are many migrants from different part of the world speaking different languages. Many social groups like LGBT communities from all over the world who never felt safe in their own country or women belong to those countries where their own government denied protecting them from irrational social...
