Investigating Language change During early 2004, the following expressions appeared in the British tabloid press, describing economic migrants coming to Britain from poorer parts of the European Union: Welfare shopping Benefit tourists Explain how you might go about investigating whether, and to what extent, these terms have become conventionalised (propagated) in your Englishspeaking community. Now make a list of expressions that you think have entered your speech community recently.
