In an attempt to determine which method would assure the best class attendance, an educational psychologist had one teacher reward students for attending class with extra points, a second teacher punish absences by deducting points, a third teacher scold students for absences and a fourth teacher do nothing. Results indicated that attendance was best in the first class where the teacher rewarded the students.

1. The characters in the soap opera Will and Grace, when considered from the behavioral
and cultural diversity perspective depicts the idea of bis
exuality. Television programs are made
for knowledge and entertainment purposes. Programs like “Will and Grace” focus on connecting
to the present society, especially the youth by narrating incidents that they can closely relate to.
In this way it helps them connect well with their audiences and gain a better rating.
Will and Grace represent several concepts like friendship, sharing a room, homosexuality
and conflicts that arise in between the best of friends. These concepts are extremely popular in
the present era (Cline, Croft, Courrier, 1993). There were several objections raised against Will
and Grace as it could affect young minds negatively due to the concept of homosexuality but it
did present the real picture of present times.
2. a. The study is correlation. It shows the relation or impact caused by the step taken by
the teacher. In order to understand the impact that the measures has on the class and their
attendance, it becomes important for the researcher to use correlation in the experiment or
research design.
b. The independent variable is the method used and the dependant variable is the
attendance received. In this way it is possible to find correlation among the variables and
understand the impact of the method used.
3. a. Ethics and social responsibility are crucial for businesses and beyond profits since
this has a long term impact on the society. Ethics and social responsibility is an essential element
of all experiments. The research ethics that have not been followed in the experiment is that the
students have been called for by advertisement. Moreover it is also essential that they are not
