The Duha group is the manufacturer of different types of the color marketing tools. They are known for producing different types of the products which includes color cards and systems, albums, big sheets, posters, albums and architect, specifier kids and designer. This company is providing the products in consumer electronics, automotive, architecture and other related sectors.
The owner initially went to child for expanding their family business into the form of new market and he flipped through the phone book so that he can find some paint company listings. They were not afraid at all to cold call businesses for establishing the trade partnerships for the products like paint color cards which were found in the hardware stores across Canada. The success of the organization is due in part for the strong Canadian values which they held in high regard at the international level and these values are diversity, high quality and sustainability products which draw attention of the global clients to Canada. This group is known for priding themselves to operate as the sustainable business. It is known for recycling the paper and paint and they have the green supply chain which start from the procurement and ends with the transportation. The organization also encourage all the customers and suppliers to do whatever they want to do so that it can reduce the impact over the environment with their actions. The group has been in the family for the 4 generations and they sees a brighter future of the organization because they are having progressive and comprehensive agreement with the trans Pacific partnership and it will allow them the free access with the new market opportunities. This signed agreement helps them to work within their own company. It is able to open new doors for them which could not have been opened without it.
The organization was also involved in some tasks with a third party known as the streamline systems so that they can easily increase the efficiency and automation of the fan duct completion cell present in the Winnipeg manufacturing facility of the client. The overall objective of the organization was to redesign the fan pack completion process so that they can achieve the throughput of 350 FedEx every hour with the help of no more than six operators working over the cell. For this project the organization had a total project budget of $50,000 to $60,000 CAD, utilization of all the available power present in the cell and it will not exceed the current cell dimensions and it was a constraint of the project. The current system needs 12 operators so that it can achieve the maximum throughput of 200 fan deck every hour. It was calculated that the current annual operating cost of the organization is $1,225,000 CAD and this calculation was done on the provided operator cost of $20 every hour and the assumed annual production of around 10 lacs fan decks.
