(Section on Evaluating Websites)
Conduct some research on the internet to explore some of the various ways that "tourism" is defined. Choose three sources to use for this exercise. List each of the websites on your paper – you will be using these as section headers. You will be writing 2 sections for each of the urls – a definition and a website evaluation.
After each of the urls, paraphrase the definition of tourism that the website includes. This means it should be in your own words, but close to what the website states. If you need help with paraphrasing, visit the Trefry Library section that explains paraphrasing.

Remember to include in in-text citation after the paraphrased definition.
Next, write a paragraph from third-person perspective evaluating the website you used for validity. Explain why the particular source may or may not be a scholarly source and explain why using specific examples.
After you have written a brief evaluation on the validity of each of these websites, write one final concluding paragraph, a few sentences is fine. The topic of that final paragraph should define tourism, based on your research – synthesizing the information and definitions you learned from each of the sites. If any of the sites you found are likely not scholarly or valid sources, you should find one additional scholarly source to give strength and support to your synthesized definition of tourism as it relates to the components of tourism management.
If you used sources in addition to the original three, remember to include them on the APA formatted Reference page.
Part 2
Based on your readings and combined with additional research in the Trefry Library and online sources, write up a 2-4 paragraph summary that describes at least three different career options in within the travel and tourism industry. Be sure to include your sources used.
As a final concluding paragraph, describe a career pathway that you find appealing in the travel and tourism industry. Explain why it appeals to you and why you might like to pursue that career pathway.
This final paragraph may be written in first person (using I, me, etc.).
Finish with an APA formatted Reference page.
