I. in 1-2 short paragraphs please define:
1) What are Human Services and Why Is Human Services Needed?
Human services are a way to assist people to find stability and can help to provide basic amenities like food, shelter, guidance, counselling and treatment of substance abuse with the objectives of endorsing self-sufficiency and happiness in the lives of the destitute people (Scott Wilson, 2021).
People who work for the human services provide resources and also care for the children and the elderly people living in the community. They also care for the disabled, people with mental illness, addicted to substance abuse, during emergency situation like natural disasters. There is a need of human services as with an external support the quality of life of these people enhances rapidly. On the other hand the individual who does not receive any forms of human services might experience painful ending like prolonged illness, homelessness and addiction to alcohol and drugs and finally death (Ashley Brooks, 2020).
2) Micro Level: The micro level human service focuses on the licensed clinical social workers who provide direct support and intervention to various family members, individuals and groups of people in the community. The micro level are involved with traditional social work who addresses the needs of the society associated with issues like treatment of domestic violence victims, elderly people and individuals suffering from mental illness. They are mostly the counsellors, therapists, specialists who provide direct client services.
3) Mezzo Level: They are also social workers who provide individual services to the client directly. Their ultimate objectives is identifying the issues and resolving it. They collaborate with various agencies, implement various programs and delivering services and finance for assisting the clients. The best example is the school counsellor developing a substance level prevention workshop to provide knowledge and education to students suffering from addiction.
4) Macro Level: These social workers works on state, national and international level to improve the quality of lives of the people in order to alleviate social problems from the root. They are highly trained professionals who have knowledge and experience of administration and policy analysis of the social works and are conducting research on an ongoing basis (Social Work Guide, 2020).
