Instructions for report goal reflections (semester 2):

  1. Open a word document and save it named “My name” semester 2 reports goal reflection (e.g

    Antony semester 2 reports goal reflection
    )

  2. Review your goals from this semester-look at the goal sheet you created as well as any goals you have written in your goal book. In your word document, take some quick, bullet-point notes on any of these goals you think you might like to write about- they can be goals you have achieve or goals you feel you would like to work more on.

  3. Open your personal drive on your computer- your semester 1 report will be there. Scroll down to the reflections you made in the middle of the year. Read what you wrote about “my future goals” (it’s at the bottom of the last page). In your word document, take some quick, bullet-point notes on any of these goals you think you might like to write about- they can be goals you have achieve or goals you feel you would like to work more on.

  4. Now begin to draft your goal reflection for your coming report. You should write in full sentences. There are 3 sections you need to fill in. Each needs to be between 420-500 characters long. They are:

· My Learning goals- here you write about the goals you set for yourself this semester. You can use the “My Future Goals” section from your Semester 1 report for this- you can add to it if you wish. (420-500 characters)

· Student comment- here you write about your achievements. Did you achieve your goals? Which ones? How did you achieve them? What did you do that you were proud of? What didn’t you achieve? Why not? (420-500 characters)

· My future goals- here you write about what you’d like to achieve next year and how you might achieve it. Year 5’s should write about some areas of the curriculum you’d like to feel more confident in, ways you’d like to improve your work habits or ways you will show leadership or be role-models. Year 6s may also like to talk about how you might meet the challenges you will face at high school.

  1. Proof-read your writing so that you are sure it makes sense. Check your characters using the word count function at the bottom of the page- the character count should
    include
    spaces.

  2. Save your reflection to your student drive AND email a copy of the word document to your teacher- it MUST be sent as a Word doc attached to the email- NOT copied and pasted into the email. Teacher email addresses are:
