here's the situation: you're a highly-regarded therapist for your ability to explain why people do the things they do. A local, concerned citizens group has asked you for an assessment of why the Creature made the choices he did, from when he first attempted to connect with Victor in his room to his farewell on Walton’s ship. Since you're a humanitarian by nature, you are trying to help them see that the Creature is not a "monster" but a misunderstood individual in need of some compassion, in spite of some of the horrible things he's done. (No one really does horrible things unless there's a pre-existing psychosis - insanity - or circumstances have pushed the individual to such action.) So,in the form of an essay of 4 or more pages, you give them your insights on the Creature's choices, how one choice leads to another choice, and why he makes such choices. Here are the guidelinesto consider:

  • You don’t have to address every single thing he did, but consider the major choices he makes.

  • Use layman’s terms; you don’t have to get into a lot of psychobabble (fancy psychological terminology) in explaining your assessment. Just as a lawyer avoids the “legalese” when he’s talking to a client, you are using everyday language so the reader (the group) understands what you are asserting.

  • You don’t need any outside sources, unless you want to connect with certain psychological terms that you think address the Creature’s behavior; if you do use an outside source, make sure you give credit when you cite or paraphrase.

  • Make sure you have a clear focus that is consistent throughout your essay with a thesis, and each paragraph addresses a specific point that connects to your thesis with accurate details from the novel as well as..

  • Relevant passages from the novelthat convey either what the Creature does or says to support what you are asserting about his behavior. Remember, whenever you make an assertion about the Creature, you need to back it up.

Think of yourself as much like a podcast personality. You have a "knack" for understanding people's behavior even though you're not sporting a degree in Psychology. You're perceived as an expert even though you might not, technically, be one. It's all in how you say what you need to say; somehow the public listens to what you have to say - and that's why you have five zillion followers and nine homes in 14 countries (some of your homes are really big).

Creature in Frankenstein        1
CREATURE IN FRANKENSTEIN
Introduction
The Creature in Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’ is a vastly misunderstood character. The Creature was created by the scientist Victor F
rankenstein in order to experience the powers of generation. However, instead of creating a human figure, the scientist Frankenstein was capable of creating a monster who was dreaded by the other characters as well as was also responsible for a number of deaths in the city where they resided and the setting of the novel by Mary Shelley. In this particular paper, there will be a close attempt to justify the actions of the Creature and make them as humane as possible so as to prove that the Creature was not really an evil character. However, the quality of evilness exists in several humans as well.
Contrast
One of the characters in the novel, namely Alphonse Frankenstein describes the Creature as, “ Its gigantic stature, and the deformity of its aspect, more hideous than belongs to humanity, instantly informed that it was the wretch, the filthy demon…” (Beer, 2017). The physical structure of the Creature is extremely frightening as a result of which, it induces fear among the citizens living in the city. In addition to that, the fearful actions that the Creature has committed such as the murders and so on, they have also resulted in the creation of fear among the citizens. Although their fear is quite justified from the exterior, as a therapist, it is important to understand as well as analyse the psychology behind those actions as well as the notions that have induced those actions on the part of the Creature.
The physical monstrosity should not be only considered when aiming to understand the character of the Creature. It is also important to pay attention to the different details of his life so as to analyse the different choices that he has made throughout the novel. His physical monstrosity is primarily due to the summation of the parts that has been taken from the different parts of...
