Analysis of Competitive Structure and Intensity
    The two, smartphone producers that have managed to capture a major share of USA smartphone market are Samsung and Apple. The competitive structure of this industry focuses on innovation, pricing strategy and marketing strategies. However, Samsung and Apple have framed their competitive structure differently around 5 Forces Model of Porter. In case of Samsung, the bargaining power of the suppliers is low and so is the case in Apple. The bargaining power of the customers is moderately high in case of Samsung however; Apple enjoys a strong customer bargaining power. When it comes to analyzing, the competition Samsung faces tough competition from other national and international brands while Apple enjoys a good hold over the market with a weak competitive threat from other substitutes.
