Introduction
Problems solving is one the major cognitive skill one must have in order to succeed in the competitive business environment. The process includes various skill development and training sessions in order to grow various skills that would ultimately help in the growth of problem solving process. Leaders on the other hand play a major role in shaping and sharpening the skills for better problem solving. Once a company is in the market several unseen adversities may appear of which one has no idea before. Thus problem solving requires quick and effective action. Leaders who are experienced ca provide guidance and help the employees by delegating authority to them. Leaders have the highest scope to develop such skill. Creative minds can be fostered if the right environment is created in order to develop such capabilities. The report is based on understanding the effects of creative problem solving and the ways though which leaders can influence creativity in the organisation.
Creative problem solving
Creative problem solving can be summarised as an approach to identify and impendent unique solutions to the challenges that are faced in a business environment. The process is opposite to the convectional process and uses various out of the box methods to solve a problem more efficiently (Surya and Syahputra, 2017). The skills of creative problem solving require basic and constants use of improved environment and a consistent innovation system.
The skills are considered to be soft skill and are based on personal strength. The though process of person determines the creativity one can show in the respective filed and solve issue effectively.
Approaches that enhance creative problem solving
Using Strategic Framework
The strategic framework that acne be applied to improve the skill of problem solving includes gathering of information. This is the initial phase of the framework which includes getting information about the problem. There are various ways through which information can be gathered. The second step in the phase is identifying the relationships; this means that the relations between various stakeholders in the problem are identified (Ross et al. 2017). The third step includes development of solution, various aspects of the probslms is critically evaluated and the relations are analysed to come up with a problem for solving the issue in this stage. The last stage in the process is the implementation of the plan that had been developed to solve the problem.
Practice Empathy
Empathy can be defined as the ability to see others perspective. One of the key aspects of the emotional intelligence quotient is to see how others feel and the steps one must take in reasonable sense. This is also part of developing a good problem solving skill. As the person is able to see form others perspective they will be better off in taking a decision that would solve the problem without hurting others intentions. This will also help in adding value to the decision making process and to the organisation as well.
