In this chapter, we talked about the tr and sed programs in detail. As you can see, both of these programs can be very useful. However, they are complex tools that require a lot of time and effort to master. For some people, this is not a problem. For many other people, however, taking the time to learn how to use a complex tool well is an uncomfortable experience. Why do you think this is so? Should all tools be designed to be easy to learn?
