In the sura (chapter) of Yusuf (Joseph), Yusuf makes the following statement:
"Nor do I absolve my own self (of blame): the (human) soul is certainly prone to evil, unless my Lord do bestow His Mercy: but surely my Lord is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." Aya (verse) no. 53
This statement, like others in the Quran, implies that human beings tend to commit acts that are morally wrong unless they remember God, which helps them to refrain from committing such acts. How does the story of Yusuf and his master's wife, which is contained in the same sura, illustrate this teaching of the Quran? Answer this in one paragraph, with a thesis statement, and give the number of the verse (aya) or verses that you refer to. (Hint: read the chapter of Yusuf/Joseph from the beginning to understand the story). The Qur'an is Pdf Format in the content section.
