In the solution to the advertising selection model in Example 7.6, we indicated that the women 36 to 55 group is a “bottleneck” in the sense that the company needs to spend a lot more than it would otherwise have spent to meet the constraint for this group. Form a SolverTable to see how much this group’s exposure constraint is costing the company. Vary the required exposures to this group from 30 to 60 in increments of 5, and keep track of the total advertising cost. Comment on your results.
