In J. K. Rowling’s popular book series, Harry Potter finds out not only that he is a wizard but also that his parents left him a sizeable fortune. Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter in the films based on the books, had a similar experience. A middle-class boy from Fulham, England, the 11-year-old child landed the lead in the guaranteed hit Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001) and subsequent films. Daniel received a salary as well as a percentage of the gross profits, and, in 2004, he became the richest teenager in Britain, with a fortune of over $11,000,000.
