In an outward radial flow reaction turbine, the rim speed at the inlet is 22.5 m/s and the diameter ratio is 0.8. The vane angle at the inlet and exit are 90° and 20°, respectively. If radial velocity at the inlet is 7.5 m/s and discharge is radial, then determine (i) the guide blade angle, (ii) velocity of water from guide blades, (iii) pressure head at the inlet to the runner and (iv) hydraulic efficiency. Neglect the frictional losses in the runner.
