In a reheat-regenerative Rankine cycle, the condenser pressure is 10 KPa. Steam enters the first turbine at 12.5 MPa and 500oC. Steam is reheated at 3 MPa at the same temperature before entering the second turbine. For the regeneration, steam is extracted from the second turbine at 0.5 MPa to an open feedwater heater (OFWH).

Draw the schematic and T-S diagrams. Label the points by setting point 1 at the condenser outlet, point 2 at the 1st pump (right after the condenser) outlet, point 3 at the OFWH outlet, point 4 at the 2nd pump outlet, point 5 at the boiler outlet, point 6 at the reheater inlet, point 7 at the reheater outlet, point 8 for the extraction of steam to OFWH and point 9 at the condenser inlet.

Use2 decimal places for theenthalpy, steam quality (%), thermal efficiency (%), and other energies. For the fraction of steam (y) and entropy (s), use4 decimal places. For thespecific volume, use6 decimal places.
