In a 2-shell and 16-tube passes heat exchanger, water (Cp = 4180 J/kg·°C) is used to cool hot oil (Cp = 2100 J/kg·°C). Water enters the tube side at 25°C at the rate of 2 kg/s while hot oil enters the shell side at 180°C at a rate of 2.5 kg/s and leaves at 70°C. If the overall heat transfer coefficient based on the outer surface of the tube is 320 W/m2 ·°C, determine the heat transfer rate from hot oil to water and the heat transfer surface area on the outer side of the tube.
