In a 2 page paper, please discuss the following: Assume a person accidentally picks up a credit card that is not theirs and uses the card in several instances.


Can the person be charged with multiple violations of a state statute that makes it a crime to "knowingly obtain, possess, use, or transfer a means of identification or financial information of another?" Why or why not? See State vs. Leyda, 138 P.3d 610 (Wash. 2006).

issue is the concerns related to credit cards. Increasing credit card theft is a matter of concern
and needs to be controlled. Identity theft is a crime of using someone else’s personal
information; it can be done for use of financial gain (for example credit card theft) (Pryor,

It is considered to be an act of fraud if any person uses another person’s credit card
without taking permission of the actual card holder knowingly or unknowingly; title 18 of the
criminal law under the state act deals with the information in regard to credit card fraud.
