In 1982 the United NationsWorld Charter for Natureproclaimed an intrinsic right fornatureto survive and evolve:
Every form of life is unique, warranting respect regardless of its worth to man, and, to accord other organisms such recognition, man must be guided by a moral code of action
Why is this not a binding part of the Australia’s Environmental & Planning Law? Give one example of how Australia’s Environmental & Planning Law would have to change in order to adopt this principle.
