Introduction
As technological advancements are being introduced, they are changing the way industries deliver their services. Education sector is under sudden transformation amid pandemic as technology helped school, colleges and universities to reach students even in the remotest of the areas. Smart phones and Internet connectivity has bridged the gap of accessibility and timely research.
These have helped knowledge sharing and the use of information as well as communication technologies (ICTs) in education systems has been popularised. The World Bank who is largest financier of educational programmes in over 80 countries work in partnerships with governments and leading educational institutions is supporting digital technologies to provide equal learning opportunities to all children.
1. Critiquing their Practice in Relation to Using Technology
Experts have believed that though ICT has been part of education system but still the learning quality has more scope of improvement. In order to develop and learn with ICT the teaching community need to practice— autonomy, creativity and capability (Beardsley, Albo, Aragon & Hernandez‐Leo, 2021). This can be a collaborative approach to empower teachers creating their own content, make students confident about their learning milestones and broadens their learning horizon.
The teaching practices through ICT have led to inquired learning. Online material can be accessed 24x7 and with the help of purpose-designed applications, learning needs can be met innovatively. Apart from this, the distance learning approach has also helped students to be accommodated in mainstream by developing and exploring solutions to the problems of learning and reflecting their learning experiences (Biletska, Paladieva, Avchinnikova & Kazak, 2021).
The higher level of thinking skills, engagement in meaningful tasks and integration of ICT at all learning levels of student life is critical. The teaching practices need researched and assisted developments, which ensure that the deliverables are facilitated with quality course content and support of technology.
