However, due to the circumstances of Covid, if you cannot actually visit a gallery or museum you are welcome to do a virtual tour and pick an artwork from that tour to write about. Write an evaluation and analysis of the exhibitionanda work of art. Your written response should be typed, double spaced, in 12-point font, and at least 2 pages.

I am going to analyze art work called “Celebrating Ganesha” from the British library. I did a virtual tour of the British library and I found this particular work of art very intriguing. The artist of this particular art work is not known but we do know that it was made in Orissa, India and found in the same place. It is made of Schist. The art work dates back to the 13th century. The artwork is a sculpture and is about 119 centimeters tall.
The artwork portrays Hindu God Ganesha. We can see Ganesha has a head of the elephant because his father, Lord Shiva, unknowingly cut off his head due to anger. And then another God named Parashurama cut off his tusk. We see a rat at the bottom of the sculpture. That rat is his ride. I think that the sculpture is beautifully made and stands out very well in terms of emphasis, rhythm and pattern.
