pertained to environment has significantly increased. In order to protect the environment and
bring awareness at all the levels may be national or international, people celebrate Earth day

may be increased. As the message for environmental consciousness continues in greater

organisational behaviour. “Go Green” is the attempt made to think public policy makers in
line of thinking to protect the environment. Hence corporate social responsibility has its
influence in both private and public sector. People are more worried about protection of
depleting natural resources and sky high crude prices. Many of the corporate has taken
initiatives in order to protect and save energy. Corporate claim, governmental policies have
pushed for making an effort for alternative energy, thrust for efficient technology material
which are environmental friendly. The increased response for corporate social responsibility
in line with the message of “Go Green” has severely made the members of society cynical as
the corporate consider “Go Green” initiative as part of public relationship or a simple
marketing scheme.
There have been numerous criticisms for BP in line of pro-social messages on protecting the
environment. The social activist like “Greenpeace International” has taken many initiatives in
order to face the challenges towards stance of organisation. Some of the public activists
articulate that the “Go Green” message from BP is in dilemma because of the product which
