Identify and elaborate the reasons that you have identified as opportunities or issues (weaknesses) that suggest that the organisation needs to relook into its current design and structure. The focus is on giving your manager a good analysis of the situation facing the organisation, which should include the opportunities and challenges that significantly impact on the organisation’s current objectives and strategies.
Discuss your proposal in detail with support of data, diagrams, charts and graphs as appropriate (in the appendices).  Your manager expects to read about the details of your plan for the restructuring the organisation or the SBU/Division/Department/work unit as well as your justification. Your findings in the environmental diagnosis should provide some reasons for the need to reorganise.
Specifically, your manager is keen to know whether new roles will be added, surplus roles will be removed and existing roles will be merged in the new structure, and the rationale for such recommendations.
