familiar with through your own professional experience, personal experience

laser printers, eyeglasses or diapers as your chosen category.).
a. Identify the primary, secondary, operational and latent performance
dimensions for your chosen product or service category. Explain
clearly why you view them as primary, secondary, operational and
latent performance dimensions. Discuss how they have evolved or are
evolving over time. (10 points)
b. Identify fringe users, lead users and non-users for your chosen product
or service category and explain how they have been a source of latent
performance dimensions. (10 points)
c. Identify examples of sustaining innovation, low cost disruption (or
potential low cost disruption), new market disruption (or potential new
market disruption), and resonant innovation (or potential resonant
innovation) related to the product or service category that you have
chosen. For each of these types of innovation, explain clearly why your
chosen example is an example of the innovation type. (15 points)
2. Use the ideas presented in the article to analyze future innovation
opportunities in your workplace. Explain clearly the types of incoming
customer requests, how you would organize them using the framework in the
article, and how you could use the concepts in the article to improve the
innovative potential of your workplace. (10)
