In the story The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin
the main character is Mrs Mallard who is a widow and who is about to be told about the death of her husband. Her sister and the family friend do not want to disturb her physical and mental illness but Mrs Mallard is feeling a different enthusiasm with the new reality that has come upon her. The character has always let her life under the shadow of her husband and now that she has been aware of the demise of her husband she is finally feels to be liberated (Chopin, 2018). Inside the room she thinks about the upcoming future and she starts to feel the atmosphere, the piano tune from the neighbourhood and the setting sun that provides warmth to her skin. She is entirely engrossed about the new found liberty that she is going to enjoy and at this point she is not even scared of her physical health.
