Icebergs are dangerous because most of the ice lies below the surface of the water. The old rule of thumb is that 90% of the volume of the iceberg lies below the water. Assuming water at −4°C in equilibrium with the ice and a spherical iceberg, determine if this rule of thumb is accurate.
